Südkreuz Offices - Berlin

Description

Design and build of two buildings with eight floors and 25,000 m² of office and retail space. The project also has a 9,000 m² underground car park. Structural work was completed in October 2020. The client has the option to completely alter the finish up to seven months prior to completion. For those reasons, the various phases had to be realised at a rapid pace. As a result, every floor, consisting of concrete columns, lift shafts and a floor slab, was completed in just two weeks.

This project will be LEED Gold-certified when completed. LEED stands for ‘Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design’ and assesses construction projects in terms of sustainability in the broadest sense of the word.

Willemen Construct came into being on 1 July 2018 as a result of the merger between Willemen General Contractor and the construction department of Kumpen.
