Franki Construct is building a new service garage for MPET rolling stock at the MPET terminal at the Deurganck dock in the Antwerp Waasland port. The MSC PSA European Terminal (MPET) is the largest container terminal in Europe. PSA Antwerp handles some 80% of the total container volume in the port of Antwerp, making it the largest container handler in the port. The service garage provides room for simultaneous servicing of 6 straddle carriers. It is equipped with a sophisticated distribution system for oil, cooling water, compressed air and grease, a nitrogen generator for inflating tyres, a retractable bridge and a washing area. The service garage measures 61m x 33m and is 263 high.
