AP Campus Spoor Noord Viaduct - Antwerp

Description

Construction of a new campus for AP University of Applied Sciences and Arts. The Viaduct Campus offers room to 2,000 students across 7,500 m² of space. The new campus borders the park, and this green theme is extended into the building through the large windows. Parking space for 50 cars and 400 bicycles is provided underneath the new building. During the design phase, special attention was paid to the environmental footprint of the project. Passive sun protection, solar panels, green roofs and exhaustive insulation will be integrated into the building to create a pleasant indoor climate. The centre of the building features a real garden that will give the impression of an ‘urban jungle’.

Willemen Construct came into being on 1 July 2018 as a result of the merger between Willemen General Contractor and the construction department of Kumpen.
