With more than 2,500 students, both the music and drawing academies needed a substantial upgrade and expansion of the existing buildings. A new building of 26,000 m² was therefore built with due attention to acoustics and large, high studios for the visual arts. The new academy site was given a beautiful green courtyard that can be used as an event plaza and for outdoor performances. With an auditorium under the courtyard, a real amphitheatre with 150 seats was created outside. A central entrance hall as a reception, waiting and exhibition area connects all the buildings.
